Poet Interview: DripDripDrop
Getting to Know Pinoy Indie Authors
I truly feel Pinoy (Filipino) Indie Authors are underrated and, most times, underappreciated. In support, I am featuring interviews with Pinoy Indie Authors here on my Blog.
In addition, I have also created a Facebook Page and a Facebook Group specifically dedicated to empowering and equipping Pinoy writers to write, publish, and promote their books.
If you’re a Filipino indie author or writer, come join us! You’re welcome — whether you write in English, Taglish, or Tagalog. We’re all in this together

1. What inspired you to start writing poetry?
It all started way back in my English class in highschool. The teacher assigned us to write a haiku. At first I don’t even know what a haiku was, but then I eventually tried writing a haiku. It was about my crush. Since then, I started writing all different kinds of poetry.
2. Where do you usually find inspiration for your poems?
I usually find inspiration from my experiences or what I’ve watched from anime or movies.
3. What themes or feelings do you often explore in your works?
I usually write about loss, regret, family or being in love.
4. Describe your style in three words.
Direct. Simple. Felt.
5. What advice would you give to writers who want to try poetry?
Seize the feeling and write it out.
